For almost a century and through four generations, The Briarwood Organization has been a prolific and popular builder of two- and three-family homes and mid- to hi-rise residential buildings in the City of New York.  It has constructed thousands of residential units and thousands of square feet of commercial space.  Since the mid 1980s, Briarwood successfully completed over 2,500 housing units (1,500 housing units developed under the aegis of the New York City Department of Housing, Preservation and Development (HPD) programs).  These and other completed projects have a Market Value of over a half a Billion Dollars.  Briarwood’s product is always on time, within budget and has consistently received accolades from the purchasing public.

Waters Edge by Briarwood (a 210-unit development) in Arverne exemplifies the type of construction and community involvement of The Briarwood Organization.  Phase I, which consisted of 80 units in two-family homes sold out in 2001.  Phase II, which will consist of 130 condominium units, is under construction.  Phase II is expected to be sold out by the summer of 2008.

Briarwood has commenced construction on Grant Avenue Apartments, two buildings totaling 162 units, on Grant Avenue between East 167th and 169th Streets in the Bronx.  These buildings will be sold as cooperatives.
